ABOUT BMF SHOCKS & CHASSIS
Located in Floresville, TX, BMF Shocks and Chassis was founded 2009 when driver and car owner John Heil converted his passion for racing and transformed it into one of the most successful outfits in Short Track Racing. John Heil made his mark behind the wheel of Open Wheel Modifieds and Super Late Models at speedways across the Southeast. Travelling to facilities across the country, Heil carved out a reputation as a front runner and perennial contender on track whilst also building a successful career in HVAC and Heating & Cooling.
Following a number of ‘bench racing’ sessions, John’s plan to build his own chassis was put into action when he was commissioned by longtime friend - and fellow Short Track veteran - Joe Aramendia. The first build’s ability to compile dominant results and consistent victories quickly turned attention to Heil’s rapidly growing enterprise.
Along with support from Heil’s wife Theresa, John left his HVAC business to begin manufacturing and maintaining racecars fulltime. From there, BMF’s influence quickly spread across the Southeast, tallying race wins and championships en route to becoming one of the most recognizable names in Open Wheel Modified racing.
As of 2020, BMF has amassed more than 300 wins, 24 track championships and three consecutive Snowball Derby Open Wheel Modified titles.
